WTF?

This movie, for something that's supposed to be an hour or so long... breezed by. I felt like it was rushed through... maybe because I had a good time or I was too busy being confused by how nothing made sense. Either way, I felt like it ended in the blink of an eye-- so this is great for killing time! What's great about this movie is how they made the trailers. I remember when it came out and I saw the commercial, I was drawn to watch it but did not have the opportunity, and nearly half a year later, I still remembered it... so that's pretty good eh? There's this song that'll get stuck in your head: Rock me, Rock me sexy Jesus...... (over and over again) The idea of a sexy Jesus teaching Hamlet from Shakespeare about forgiveness was cute but the execution of the fake play in the movie was poor. There was no real plot that I could assemble and it's mainly pointless shiny glittery singing with sex mildly factored in. The behaviors of the characters were oddly inhuman... like the guy named Chuy or Octavio? He tried to give motivational speeches and it just seemed overacted... lol. (sorry, fail!) Amy Poehler is probably the best bet for the success of the movie. She gave the funniest lines and brightened up the whole movie. I guess the rest of the movie worked well but she absolutely stole the show and everything she said just made me AND my movie buddy LOL. She perfectly mocks the stereotypical know-it-all hot lawyer. Main character/Director of the school play: ... wtf he acted like a stoner throughout the whole movie (but I guess it's what he's supposed to be like but at least a bit of personality?!) At the beginning they made the play look like some huge production, but overall I think I just remembered 3-4 students in it LOL!!! Like House Bunny, this movie had an unrealistic set created-- A high school drama teacher paid only for gas money is NOT going to whip out a giant flashing stage with cool props okay? Either way, this movie is great for a few great laughs (Thank you Amy Poehler!!!) and a wonderful time killer! Watch it with friends~

This movie wasn't very good.

This movie wasn't very good. I laughed hard a few parts, but generally it lacked any coherent character building and main story arc, other than they're going to throw a controversal play. It had potential to be great, instead it's a bit odd and you never really walk away with any type of long lasting impression. Mediocore at best!
