How I met Your Mother: Addictive Viewing!

Now bear with me, I know that in the US you guys have been watching the TV show ‘How I met Your Mother' for ages now, but I have only just started to get into it and love it! At first I thought it was just going to be a poor man's version of Friends but it's actually so much more and infinitely funnier!

I've just finished watching series 2 and my current favourite episode to date is the ‘Swarley' one, I'm sure you will all know what I'm talking about. Its down right hilarious to watch and some of the in-jokes are brilliant. Barney has to be my favourite character (I'm pretty sure he's EVERYONE'S favourite character to be honest) but I had no idea who the guy was who played him until my husband pointed out to me that he was actually Neil Patrick Harris who played Doogie Howser.

It's great to see Alyson Hannigan back on the screen again in a weekly show and the fact that she has brought over some of her Buffy/Angel co stars with her is great. The cameo that Alexis Denisof (Alyson's husband and Buffy co star) did as ‘Sandy Rivers' was hilarious and it was great to see him allowed to play on his more comedic side. I wonder how they got on filming together again?

I hear that Britney Spears is in season 3 so I'm looking forward to watching that, I'm also a little dubious though as I have heard that season 3 is the weakest of them all so far!

Does anyone know if there's a season 4 of the show in the works or will season 3 be the last one? I really hope not as I genuinely think I could keep tuning into this show forever, its one of the best comedy series I've seen in a long time and I'm completely addicted!
